Praying Mantis Hand Feeding

Incredible video of me hand feeding a praying mantis. He is eating small pieces of chicken from my cats' food. He would sometimes turn his little head to look at me. Later, when I placed my face nearby, he stretched his little hand up and touched me.
A highly recommended book is "The Voice Of The Infinite In The Small" which is about the spiritual connection and sentience of insects. Before actually reading this book, I thought the whole idea absurd and wondered why I had even bought it. After reading it, my whole attitude changed. I guess it was this changed attitude that could even permit a wonderful little encounter like this.
There is slight blurring every now and again. That is because I was trying to film very close up, with one hand, while doing the feeding with the other. But this is worth watching to see the most incredible sight of a praying mantis being hand fed... on chicken. He was very hungry and ate for quite a long time, much longer than the length of this video.
Later, I showed him to my mother and "introduced" her to him. His little head actually turned to look at her, before turning back to look at me. A very sentient intelligent creature who transcended all expectations!
