Fermented Chicken Feed

Dislike 0 Published on 16 Jan 2017

This is a mixture of sunflower seeds, millet, popcorn, corn, oats and laying crumbles covered with water.

Keep a loose lid on the bucket (in a warm place is best) and
after 2 or 3 days you will get fermentation.

You will know it is working well you will see a lot of bubbling.

Keep about 2 inches of water above your mix.

Strain out enough to feed your chickens. I like to mix it with laying crumbles and a handful of oyster shells, and sometimes sand.

Add feed to the bucket to replace what you used.
