How to Feed Your Chickens and Avoid a UFC (Ultimate Fighting Chicken) Smack Down!

When it comes to feeding chickens, you'll quickly realize (as I did) that there really IS a pecking order! If you just put out one pile of food, the more dominant females and males will not let the other members of the flock eat in peace (or at all!) until they have had their fill (and chickens are notoriously "piggy" eaters)!
To avoid this situation, I spread out my chicken feed so that all of my chickens can eat at the same time (with plenty of space in between). As a result, fighting is minimized and all of my chickens are able to get enough nutrients each day to stay happy and healthy.
