How To Care For A Chicken After Hawk Attack: Part 1

When it comes to raising chickens, hawks are no fun at all. They will prey on your free range birds and despite all efforts will find a way to try to grab one. While there is not much you can do about hawks, there is a way to rehabilitate your chicken if it survives an ugly attack. Chickens are very tough birds and can recover from very serious wounds.
This is my first how-to video on rehabilitating a Self-Blue Bantam chicken hen that was attacked on 6/29/2014. She had wounds to her left eye and neck causing her to lose balance and left her very weak after the attack. Chickens are easy prey, but they are also very easy to take care of even if the situation looks bad. Thanks to www.backyardchickens.com and BackyardFarmMom who posted a very helpful day by day guide on caring for a wounded chicken:
