Do you know the hens can brood the duck eggs for you. You can leave them with their mother because a mother always takes care of their child because mother is always a mother. More and more individuals are choosing to hatch duck eggs, in choice or in place of chicken eggs. There are a few different ways to hatch ducklings, but using a chicken is perhaps the simplest method. Duck eggs can easily be hatched by using broody chicken hens. I put some fertile eggs under her (the hen). She incubated them very well and as soon as they hatched she started taking care of the ducklings as her own child & use to feed them regularly as you can see them in this video. Hen eggs take 21 days to hatch, duck and turkey eggs 28 days, most goose eggs 28 - 30 days and Muscovy eggs 35 days. Some very small bantam eggs may be a day early and really large poultry such as Cochins may be a day extra.
