The Amazing Delaware Chickens - A Heritage Breed

Dislike 0 Published on 15 Jan 2019

Once a common fixture of small farms across America, as Rachel Kornstein of Boondockers Farm explains, they are now sadly on the endangered species list. Most chickens today are a Cornish Cross breed that grow fast and are slaughtered young. They must be cooked differently than the standard broiler chicken and Rachel shares some tips on how to cook them. For additional information about the Delaware breed, read this Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delaware_chicken).
