How To Make Fine Sifted Compost and a Chicken Introduction

There are lots of ways to sift compost, but for this first experiment we are keeping it simple and building a sifter out of scrap materials.
Luke helps me show you the routine of sifting the compost piles so we have fine sifted compost to add to the tomatoes in the buckets and in the garden. We are not using any fertilizers so we need to add this beautiful black compost to keep the garden produce growing strong.
Compost adds so much to soil life!
See how Jared at J&J Acres used an old swing set for his compost sifter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXu6QqoMlM8
The chicken introduction is a sweet moment where you get to see one result of one of my chicken breeding experiments.
