Chicken mating

Got a new cockrel (young rooster) and withing 20 mins he was mating. Roosters don't have a penis. All chickens, male and female have a cloaca (aka a vent) which they pass eggs, semen, waste from. The rooster's testes are up in their body. When they mate they press their vent up against the hens vent then pass the semen.
