Cleaning a cat's ears

Dislike 0 Published on 9 Nov 2015

I use a dry cotton ball to gently swab out my cat's ears. She is 15 years old, so she doesn't spend as much time as she used to on grooming. Since Emma belongs to a groomer (me!), her ears are in great shape. Some cats wind up with ear infections or even go deaf due to ear neglect. That's a sad situation. I believe the simplest way to do something is often the best way. That's why I don't put rubbing alcohol or ear cleaning solution on the pad. Cats with dirty ears may need a special solution, but a cat whose ears are cleaned weekly usually will be fine without the chemicals or alcohols.
