Close cut on a cat with some basic pointers on the technique I use to get decent results. In this video I trim the back, shoulders, and neck.
This process usually requires 2-3 sessions (cats are tempermental)
You don't have to make it completely even, shallow razor marks are not a big issue, as a close cut will grow out and look very good and even after about 1-2 weeks.
A close cut helps with hygeine.
Discourages fleas, and makes them easy to remove.
Reduces drying time when bathing.
Prevents grooming related vomiting.
Makes it easier for the animal to stay cool.
