Meet my 5 Ragdoll Cats in our grooming circle. This is my family of Ragdoll cats that are between 10 and 13 years old.
Slider was the first cat of the group that I got. I searched the internet for 6 months trying to find a Cream Pointed Ragdoll- Male. I was searching for a particular look to replace my very first Ragdoll that I had from 1990 - 2000. His mane was also Slider. I found Slider#2 at Hushabyerags in CA. where He had just been born and needed to spend time with his mamma. Slider is the only cat that I have paid for, all the other cats were rescued. The current Slider is the most amazing cat that I have owned.! Slider goes skiing, biking, rock climbing, goes in the car like a dog, and is very confident on his harness. Slider was such a confident cat that I entered him into a TICA cat show . He was a natural and earned the award of Supreme Grand Champion - Altered in just a few years. He may do a cat show again...sometime.
The next cat in the family was River. He was from Seattle where he was in a house with all girl cats. River started to get possessive of territory and started being mean to the girls. River began to hyper focus, then attack. I was at a cat show in Seattle and met River and we bonded instantly. So he came to Lake Tahoe to live with the boys. River was also an amazing show cat and reached the TICA title of Quadruple Grand Champion -Alter. River is now 100% retired from cat shows.
Next was Snowie. HushabyeRags gave my snow to be with his brother Slider. Snow has always been a quiet, shy, and timid little ragdoll. It worked, the two bonded and snow's confidence grew. Snow was a really slow growing cat. His head, tail and body were always out of proportion. Then 4 1/2 almost 5 years he filled out. Snow also went to the cat shows to be with his brother. Snow began to compete and in 2007 earned Champion status. In 2008 My Snowie was named the Best Cream Pointed Ragdoll of the year, and again in 2009. It was a fun time at the cat shows with Slider, Snow and River. Also with my good friend Summer and her cats.
Next, in the family was Binks, Frazzle, Anne, Gwen, and Star. There was an emergency at the cattery where I needed to rescue Sliders Mom (Annie) and Dad (Binks) plus Snows Mom (Frazzle), all by 8 a.m the next morning. Annie and Star went to Seattle to live with My Mom. Gwen lives close by and scored a wonderful family.
Frazzle took no time to let the boys of the house know who was in charge, now. Frazzle is snows Mom with his Dad being Binks. She is the Alpha Female of the house. I treat her like a Queen and she loves it.
Binks is the oldest cat in the house, but still acts like a giant kitten. Binks does not like to be picked up, but he is the best cat to cuddle with on his terms.
My name is Sean Rutkowski and I am the Cat Daddy to my 5 Ragdolls. Every morning in the Summer I go out on the deck and find a sunny spot on the deck to brush the cats, in our grooming circle. https://youtu.be/EucA2tI8yqM
