Nightly Feeding of the Feral Cat

So I see a lot of wild and abandoned cats and dogs in my neighborhood. Some are skin and bones. I blame the economy, not the people. The local shelter will euthanize them and if you take them to a shelter, they will ask for a drop-off fee, as if that's realistic.
This male "kitten" has been coming every evening to my place for some food and water for 6 months. He's completely wild, skittish around everyone. I've never touched him. He has not grown any so I think malnutrition has kept him small. He used to have a darker buddy cat with him but I haven't seen that one for awhile.
Just want to send the message to have your cats and dogs spayed and neutered. Keep some food on hand and don't forget to feed your fellow humans too.
