Feeding our sick cat Marty, 7 10 15

Our cat has been sick the past couple weeks, he's almost ten years old.
We took him to a Vet nearby & the vet gave him shots of B12, Valium & fed him Laxatone to help him with the hairball congestion i his stomach.
He was okay for a couple days then stopped eating again.
So I have to feed him canned cat food to keep him going until he might start eating on his own.
Kinda hate to feed him like this but if we don't, we feel he won't survive.
I give him the tuna-flavored Laxatone to help him digest any hair in his stomach plus he is given anything with oils in it such as sardines, tuna, even vegetable oil or butter to help lubricate his system.
Hoping he'll snap out of it.
