If your dog or cat has underlying medical problems, it's important to know how to tempt your pet to eat. In this video, Dr. Justine Lee, veterinary specialist, discusses some hints on how to encourage your pet to eat. In general, do not FORCE feed your pet, as this can cause accidental pneumonia (e.g., aspiration of vomit or food into the lungs). If you haven't been to your veterinarian, get there immediately to find out why your pet isn't eating! Blood work and x-rays should be done to help identify any underlying medical problems.
