Feeding stray cats outside of the house

So, there were some leftover foods (chilli stuffed fish that my mom cooked a night ago & some chicken meat my sister didn't finish). These stray cats would eat anything and I mean anything. There were a bunch of them long ago but there's still few roaming around in front of my house.
So I decided to follow in my father's footsteps. He likes to give any leftovers from breakfast, lunch, dinner to the stray cats. I'm a real cat lover but I can't keep one because my sister doesn't like them in the house.
