Have you been or are you in a bad or toxic relationship? Are you dating and not sure what to look out for? Today I sit down with Cat to talk about some indications that you may be in a toxic relationship. As a funny side note, we were supposed to say 5 signs, but we only said 4 and neither one of us (Sean included) realized it! So here are the 4 we talk about today:1. You spend more time unhappy than happy. This means that most of your relationship is in turmoil. You are upset a lot and most of the time you two are fighting rather then enjoying each other. 2. None of your friends like them. This one I think is a very important because if you have good friends, they are only going to want what's best for you and for you to be happy. As a result, if not one of them likes your significant other (and they have met them a few times) then you may want to listen to them. 3. They make you the worst version of yourself. This one is harder to see and it can take some time for it to rear it's ugly head. This has definitely happened to me and when I could finally see out of that relationship I realized that I didn't like who I was anymore, and neither did my friends. 4. If they are abusing you. I know that this should go without saying, but if they ever physically abuse you, get out! The reason I wanted to talk about this is actually because of emotional abuse. It's not as easy to notice and often slowly sneaks it's way in until you can't see out of it anymore. If anyone is controlling who you see, what you wear, how you spend your money or how long you stay out, consider that they may be emotionally abusing you. I have more videos on this in case you are concerned about yourself or someone you care about.
Lastly, I just want you all to know that you deserve to be in healthy and happy relationships. Honest. Know that if someone is treating your poorly or even if you just bring out the worst in one another, there is someone better out there for you! And you are worth the wait! xoxVideo we did on Cat's channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1YPrwDRy0QMy video on emotional abuse: https://youtu.be/A5fw-IT_phU
