Our garden is designed following our Bengal cat needs. I love flowers and rose especially, but those are not in the Bengal cat brief. In spring however there are possibilities, and you can find some flowering plants in the Bengal cats‘jungle. They are a lovey addition to their natural environment.
It’s spring and almost summer and the garden is a peaceful retreat both for the Bengals and me. The cats were already there for hours, when I decide to have my latte in the garden. I have taken my camera and sat at the edge of the garden. As soon as the Bengals saw me they came to welcome me. Bengal cats are very social breed so they came to invite me to their hunt.
This breed has a very natural appearance, but they still have some instincts inherited from their ancestor: the Asian Leopard cat. Our Bengals are pets and we take care of them, so they actually don’t have to hunt for food. But they just love hunting so it goes without saying that they spent a lot of time hunting. Everybody is happy: the cats are happy hunters and we love to see them in the garden.
In this video you’ll see Snowbengals: Sammy and Liefje. Sammy has a black tabby mother and a Seal mink father, Liefjes parents are both Seal mink Bengal cats.
Sammy isn’t an excellent hunter, because he is always talking, obviously he likes to keep me informed of his plans. Nevertheless he is most fanatical, always searching for a movement in the bushes and listening concentrated. He rather prefers a stelth attack, sometimes in hiding or motionless on the trunk over the pond. Do not underestimate his hunting skills, because in spring we have to watch him more closely so we are able to rescue his preys. Most of the lime we are successful, because Sammy has excellent hunting skills but he has trouble maintain his focus. His pry will lie motionless for quite some time and Sammy will get more and disinterested. So most of the time his prey escapes.
Liefje is just enjoying hunting with Sammy; she is not interested in frogs, but everything with wings.

I like to tell you about our Bengal cats, their adventures, their kittens and their behaviour. I would like to make some suggestions regarding the breed and how to take care of this fascinating breed and their gorgeous kittens.
Bengal cats are intelligent and very playful therefore I will give you some suggestions and also suggestions of playing met Bengal cats.
Bengal cats are intelligent and you certainly can learn them tricks, when they are interested of course. Our Bengals like to apport toys, perhaps because they found out that we like to play this game with them and because Bengals love high speed running. We have a video showing you how you are able to learn your Bengal how to apport.
We have customised our garden and created a mini Bengal jungle our Bengals enjoy. Please take care when choosing plants. Bengals love rustling grass and they sometimes eat grass, but watch out for grasses with sharp edges. Those could stick in their nose or throat, in the worst case you’ll have to go to the veterinarian. That will give them stress and stress is very, very bad for Bengals, they are happy pets so stress is no option for them. On internet you can find lists with poisonous plants, we were startled by the amount of poisonous plants, so please pay attention with plants both in your garden and in you house.
Our Bengals are our best friends and they want to share our lives and all our activities. Carefully choose hobbies you can enjoy with your Bengals. I love to make quilts and our Bengals did to, enthusiastically. As soon as they notice me collecting boxes with materials, they all gartered happily on the table, snatching patches in all the boxes and baskets. The materials mesmerised them completely and within minutes there was a patches bonanza Bengal style. Undoubtedly Bengals are very creative but they primarily seem to use their noses in an artistic flow and their art work often resembles shambles.
Bengal cats love water, they love drinking fresh water in different containers preferable running water. You'll make them the happiest Bengals in the world when you have a pond in your garden, a small one will do. They will be jubilant with a water game and you won't be less enthusiastic. Bengals love to cuddle, so invest in cuddles; an abundance of kisses and cuddles.
