Hi, I made this video after my lovely cat, Powder, left me 5/11 2017. He's the most lovable cat ever..I love him so much...it was hard to see him suffer till death, and all I could do was be with him :( my heart broke. Hope you guys like this video and please share the message with people that you know have cats.

Scottish Fold cats are suffering.

As a charity we have already taken a stand and said that these cats should not be bred; however, we have not been vocal enough.

No owner wants their cat to suffer. Whilst many owners find the look of these cats appealing they have no idea of the painful health problems that these cats experience.
There is no cure for congenital osteodystrophy and it is not life threatening, however it can become quite painful. Glucosamine supplements or joint treats sometimes help relieve stiffness and discomfort. If a cat is already affected with this condition and it is severe enough, veterinarians may recommend euthanasia as the last resort to avert painful suffering.

So, when only one parent is a Scottish Fold, the symptoms of this degenerative condition do not appear or they appear in a very mild form, but they do not affect the general health or mobility of the cat.
